In 2003, Jo was introduced to the art of dry cutting curls, inspired by the specialized techniques of the Curly Girl method and developers like Lorraine Massey. Jo enthusiastically introduced this technique to her textured clients right here in New Haven, Connecticut.
That passion led to Jo becoming one of New Haven's first dedicated curly hair specialists. The excellent results created a loyal clientele that is now 90% textured hair. Jo finds immense reward in shaping hair, boosting confidence, and sharing in her clients' hair journeys over the past 19+ years.
In addition to her expertise in curly cutting, Jo also personally specializes in gray blending, helping clients embrace their natural beauty at every stage.

Jane's impressive journey in hairdressing began in New Zealand and continued with advanced training at LIBS in New York City. She completed her formal education at Brio Academy in Connecticut, where she built a strong foundation in color and focused specifically on cutting and styling for mixed-race and African American hair.
Over the years, Jane has developed into a highly skilled color specialist right here in New Haven. Excelling in cuts, styles, and color across all hair types and textures, Jane delivers personalized services tailored to each client’s unique needs.

Over time, she refined her skills, mastering the art of curly hair cutting and styling. Mellisa later expanded her expertise by working with different hair types, which gives her a versatile perspective on all textures.
Mellisa is a Rezo specialist, a technique she loves using to enhance her clients' natural curls and add volume. As a mother of four, her nurturing nature shines through in her work. Mellisa eagerly anticipates meeting new clients, helping them achieve their hair goals and feel beautiful.

Najee brings these techniques right here to New Haven.
As a skilled color specialist, Najee focuses on enhancing natural textures with thoughtful, personalized styling.
